The Contrasting Worlds of Police & Wedding Photography...They May Be Closer Than You Think! Wednesday 26 June 2013

Join us on Wednesday 26 June, near Crook in County Durham, for talks on Police and Wedding photography by two Fellows of the BIPP.

10am-1pm - Police Photography with Phil Grieveson FBIPP

Phil Grieveson has been interested in photography most of his life and involved in forensic imaging since 1973. Until 1989 this mainly involved photography at crime scenes, both as a Divisional CSI and as the Principal Photographer on the Major Scenes of Crime Team with Durham Constabulary.  Since 1989 Phil has been teaching Forensic Photography to Police Image Makers at The College of Policing.

Phil will spend the morning talking about the different areas of Police photography, including his own personal experiences throughout his career, most notably the South East Asian Tsunami in 2004. He will also do a couple of demonstrations with high intensity light sources in order to fluoresce fingerprints and footwear marks.

WARNING: This talk will include graphic content, so attendees must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
