Just a reminder that the Scottish Region Annual Awards & Dinner are this coming Sunday 3 June 2012.
Set in the stunning HuntingTower Hotel, Perth – www.huntingtowerhotel.co.uk – we intend to hold an afternoon of talks around current photographic techniques by three Fellows of the Institute, together with a discussion forum on the reality of making a living from photography in the current economic climate – a business perspective, which will be led by several successful Scottish photographers who have had to make changes to their practices to continue in business. We will also discuss other matters affecting our profession and we hope to get your perspective on where you think the BIPP both regionally and nationally should be heading and how you can help achieve this.
There is likely to be plenty of room for all, but we ask that you pre-register for this event by contacting the Secretary, David Bewsey FBIPP, at secretary@bippscotland.com
Student Awards & Annual General Meeting
The Student Awards will be presented at 5pm, followed at 6pm by this year’s Annual General Meeting to which all Scottish Region members are invited.
Professional Image Awards & Dinner
In the evening there will be a Dinner at which we will present the Awards to the winners & runners-up of this year’s competition, as well as presenting the 2012 Scottish Photographer of the Year Award to the most successful entrant. All members including their guests are very welcome.
The Dinner costs just £20 per person, or £15 to those who entered more than two images in the Professional Categories. It is essential that you book and pay for your place at the Awards Dinner as soon as possible, as we have to provide the Hotel with a minimum number of diners. Please contact the Secretary, David Bewsey FBIPP, at secretary@bippscotland.com if you would like to book.
There may still be accommodation available at HuntingTower Hotel at the “early-bird” pre-paid rate if you are quick. Please contact the hotel direct to book – www.huntingtowerhotel.co.uk
