A series of small riots and protests swept the country culminating in a mass march on Downing Street. Pushed up to Trafalgar Square and repeatedly attacked by police on horseback and in vehicles the protesters dispersed through the West End shopping areas starting fires and casuing tens of millions pounds worth of damage.

David Hoffman has photographed protests and the policing of protests for over 30 years. He will discuss the problems of photographing extreme racist groups, the buildup of police, surveillance of journalists and the problems of unauthorised and copyright theft.

This will be preceded by a forum discussion on the use of Social Media and Copyright.
